Sign up for Layr, verify your email, and secure your login.
Your Layr account is your personal identity. It holds your name, email, and password — nothing else. It is not tied to any one company, and it does not create a workspace by itself. Once you have an account you can create a workspace or join one you have been invited to.
Before you start
You may need an invite
Depending on how you reached Layr, sign-up may require an invite or place you on the waitlist. If you have an invite link or code from a teammate, open that link first — it takes you straight to sign-up and connects you to their workspace after you finish.
You will need:
- An email address you can receive mail at right now (for a verification code).
- A couple of minutes to set a password and accept the terms.
Sign up step by step
Registration happens in two parts: first we confirm your email is real, then you set up your account details.
Open the sign-up page
Go to Layr and choose Create account (or Sign up). If you followed an invite link, you are already on the right page and your invite is remembered.
Enter your email
Type the email you want to use for Layr and continue. We send a 6-digit verification code to that address.
Verify your email
Enter the 6-digit code from the email to prove the address is yours.
No code? Check spam, confirm you typed the address correctly, and request a new code. Codes are time-limited, so use the most recent one.
Set your account details
Now finish your account:
- Full name — at least 2 characters. This is how teammates see you.
- Password — see the requirements below.
- Legal consent — accept the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
You are in
We create your account, sign you in, and send a welcome email. If you started from an invite, we take you straight into that workspace. Otherwise your next step is to create or join a workspace.
Password requirements
Choose a strong password. Layr requires all of the following:

Use a password manager
A long, unique passphrase stored in a password manager is easier and safer than a short password you have to remember.
What happens right after sign-up
- You are signed in automatically — no separate login needed the first time.
- You do not have a workspace yet. Creating an account and creating a workspace are separate on purpose.
- Your default role in any workspace you later join is a standard member role; workspace owners can adjust roles from their Team settings.
Signing in later
Next time you visit Layr, choose Sign in and enter your email. Layr guides you to the right next step:
Enter your email, then your password. That's it.
Choose Forgot password on the sign-in screen. We email you a reset link; open it and set a new password that meets the requirements above.
