Switch workspaces
Move between the Layr workspaces your account belongs to.
If your account belongs to more than one workspace, Layr always has one active workspace — the product you're currently looking at. Switching changes which workspace you're working in without signing you out or changing anything about the others.
One active workspace at a time
Everything you see — evidence, opportunities, members, settings — belongs to your active workspace. Switching swaps the entire context to another workspace you're a member of.
Switch from the workspace switcher
Open the workspace switcher
Find the current workspace name and logo in the app (in the account menu / sidebar). Selecting it opens the list of workspaces you belong to.
Pick a workspace
Choose the workspace you want to work in. Your current one is marked so you always know where you are.
You're switched
Layr sets the chosen workspace as active and reloads your view into it. Your role and access there apply immediately.
Tip
You can also reach the switcher from the command menu — open it and search for the workspace by name to jump straight there.
What changes when you switch
- The active workspace and everything scoped to it: dashboard, evidence, opportunities, specs, members, and settings.
- Your role and permissions — these are per workspace, so you may have different access in each.
- Your account: name, email, and password are unchanged.
- Your membership in every other workspace. Switching never removes you from anything.
- Your sign-in session — you don't have to log in again.
Only in one workspace?
If your account belongs to a single workspace, there's nothing to switch — Layr simply opens that workspace every time. To work in more, either create another workspace (if you don't already own one) or join one you've been invited to.
