Setup checklist
A step-by-step checklist to get from signup to a working Layr workspace.
Use this checklist to go from a brand-new account to a workspace that's ready for your team. Each item links to the full guide. Work top to bottom — later steps assume the earlier ones are done.
Product Home shows the single next setup action that your role can perform. It does not repeat this full checklist. Once Layr has produced its first product problem, Home switches to daily attention, changes, work in motion, and opportunity views.
Where you are matters
The first steps set up your account (once). The rest set up a workspace (repeat per workspace you run). If a teammate already has a workspace, you can skip straight to joining it.
1. Set up your account
Create your account
Verify your email, set your name and password, accept the terms.
Confirm you can sign back in
Sign out and in once so you know your password works. Forgot it already? Use the reset link on the sign-in screen.
2. Get into a workspace
Do one of the following.
Create the workspace
Add the profile details, upload a logo, and verify the workspace email. You become the owner.
Accept your invite
Use the invite link or six-character code from a teammate. Sign in with the email the invite was sent to.
3. Connect your tools
This is where Layr starts pulling in real evidence from the places your team already works.
Governance role required
Open Integrations from the workspace navigation (owners and workspace admins only). See the Integrations overview for the shared connect → discover → include → sync workflow.
- Connect your first tool (start with one high-signal source, not everything)
- Refresh sources and enable only the channels, projects, teams, pages, or inboxes Layr should read
- Confirm selection and let the first sync finish
4. You're set up
Once at least one tool has imported useful evidence and Layr has organized it into a product problem, product intelligence is live. From here Home helps each role continue the most relevant work:
