Getting started
Create your Layr account, set up or join a workspace, and manage your membership.
Layr is the intelligence layer that connects your product tools and recommends what to build next, backed by customer evidence. This section walks you through everything you need before that intelligence starts working: creating an account, setting up or joining a workspace, and managing where you belong.
The mental model
Two things matter from your very first minute in Layr.
Your account
Who you are. One identity — your name, email, and password. It is not tied to any single company or team.
Your workspace
Where the work lives. A workspace holds a product, its connected tools, its evidence, and its members. Your account can belong to more than one.
Account vs. workspace
You sign up once to get an account. You then create or join one or more workspaces. Creating an account never creates a workspace on its own — they are deliberately separate steps so you can be a member of several teams with a single login.
A typical first run
Create your account
Verify your email, set your name and password, and accept the legal terms. See Create an account.
Get into a workspace
Either create a new workspace for your product, or join an existing one with an invite link or code from a teammate.
Connect your tools
Bring in evidence from Slack, Jira, Linear, Notion, and Intercom. Start from the Integrations overview, then follow the provider guide you need.
Only Owner and Workspace admin roles see Integrations in the app navigation. Other roles rely on connected evidence once an admin finishes setup.
Work across teams
Belong to several workspaces? Learn how to switch between them and how to leave one you no longer need.
